I do not see the advantage of opening that wall it looks odd to me and galley kitchens are honestly one of the easiest to work in. I also can’t see the herring bone in the space I would choose a simple gray porcelan 12 x 24tile and use the conter top for the backsplash all the way to the bottom of the cabinets. I am really not sure what that picture is with the white cabinets.

Hello! This one I did recently with a stone top nearly identical to yours. Just an idea to help get your started. (Honestly about anything goes with the Laza!) Probably the green walls are not for you (she loves green!), but the glass mosaic is stunning. Arizona Tile carries it. Once you choose the backsplash, paint will become much easier. Alternatively, use the same stone for the backsplash! It's a super clean, elegant look (might be a little difficult to see in this photo, but we did the backslash in the same stone as the counter).

IMO wall color and backsplash are the last 2 things to choose in a kitchen so stop choose the cabinets first make sure all the lighting is LED 4000K and ideally then you choose the counter but since you already have the counter chosen now pick the cabinet color and thats it IMO until the floor the counter and the cabinets are all in.

The cabinet doors haven’t been installed yet, only the bases. I wanted a white that goes with my countertop, and felt the color pure white blended the best with my cabinets. I have 2-3 weeks for my kitchen to complete, so I’m not sure how it’ll look yet. I still need to pick my backsplash and wall colors, and pulls/knobs. I have decision fatigue. I highly suggest getting colors from Samplize to compare with your countertop and when you settle on one or two colors, have your cabinet maker make you a sample door in that color to compare with the countertop. I liked SW pure white bc it looks white, White Dove looked pink to me. It’s really popular though. Good luck!!
