Getting Paint Drips off Brick?
Comments (3)I scraped the ones I could without chipping the brick. I used Concrete Paint Dye and a small sponge the color of the brick ... or the color of the mortar (depending on where the drip was) and dabbed the dye on the white spots -- 2 passes. It has held up two seasons (granted it is under an eaves/overhang). Anyway ... removal or cover-up are the options I struggled with and the cover up was way easier....See MoreAnyone know how to take bright brass finish off installed sink fixture
Comments (9)There is likely an applied finish on the brass, used to be lacquer, now who knows. You'll have to remove it (try citristrip) before you can actually dull the brass with steel wool. Of course after that you'll have an exposed brass that will be more prone to tarnishing, being affected by cleaning products, etc. The steel wool might slightly dull the finish so it wouldn't hurt to try that first....See MoreLove to know how to use a dark paint on walls and not get marks on it.
Comments (3)What specific paint did you use? Brand, grade and sheen? Takes a lot for top tier paints like Aura matte to burnish. I've personally never seen Aura matte in dark colors burnish unless someone takes a Mr. Clean magic eraser to the walls....See MoreAnyone know what color paint this is?
Comments (1)find out what brand your painter wants to use (they sometimes will only use one kind). bring this picture to the paint store and browse their colors. choose about three sample colors, take them home and do paint large swatches (you can do this on cardboard if you don't want to paint the house directly)....See MoreKathsgrdn
