Conifer Weevils Bugs How to get rid of them?

A few months back I bought a small Pinus Satellit Plant. Recently i noticed the needles started to turn yellow inside. At closer inspection i noticed many small grey bugs on the trunks and on the tops on the needles i found 3 big bugs. I believe these are White Weevil bugs. What is the best way to get rig of the insects?

nice pix of the bugs .. can we see the plant???

interior yellowing.. and then browning of interior needles is cyclical .. annual .. and can be increased by transplanting ... you said you just bought it.. did you just plant it???

it might also help to include big city name location ... how you planted it.. how you have watered it since.. and the pic

we have to ID the bugs ... which i am sure someone will chime in .... and then decide if they are actually causing the harm you note.. before we go trying to eradicate them ...

but i doubt bugs are causing interior yellowing ...

You could go my route with weevils and collect them in a bottle with soapy water? There are "board traps" were you lay a board or something down for them to hide under then some time later (a day or 2?) pick up the board and grab them? There is a product called tanglefoot, I'm unsure if that works for potato bugs but I imagine it would? I used it like a caulk gun to seal the two boards of my raised bed. :)

If this is the first time you've seen bugs in your pantry, there's always the possibility you have used the product before the bugs hatched. You wouldn't have seen the eggs in any dry product such as flour, cake mix, rice, cereals which need cooking such as oatmeal, etc. I don't 'get' how this starts in the first place, but i've seen weevils(tiny brown bugs)in an unopened bag of flour as well as cake mixes that i've had past the experation date. Makes me wonder if the experation date is a 'ploy' to hide the eggs before they're hatched and the bugs become visible. Quality control in a processing plant, even with government 'regulations', doesn't make me feel at ease as there's always something that's being recalled. Sad but true.

Ed......they're still kicking. In the 2nd pick, it's raining. Water makes them scatter. I posted in the Garden Clinic...per Julias suggestion. I'm told they're pollen beetles. They don't seem to be causing any damage to the foliage....just really ugly! I can dump them out of the flower blossoms and throw them away....seems to be the most organic means to their "end".

I let mine hang around for a while, but i wanted to collect seed this year... and these guys suck sap (i assume) since the seed heads wither. I just did the soapy bucket below and knock the stem... and they fall off for the most part. The small ones need some extra persuasion.

Thank you for your reply Ken. Really appreciate you taking time to look into it. As far as my 3 hour research goes, they feed on pine needles caused them to wilt and fall off. If you look closer at the image, you can see yellowing needles are covered in small bugs feeding off the leaf. The plan is still in its original pot. well drained and watered regularly. Any further assistance is much appreciated.
