Need Help / Ideas Landscaping Large Garden Bed - 1930's Tudor

Matt

We just purchased a 1930's Tudor and would love ideas on how to best landscape the front facing garden beds. Over the last few weeks we've removed a lot of the ground cover, trimmed existing shrubs/ plants and have added the following,

-2 Azaleas that continue around a large tree in the front of house

-1 Manhattan Euonymus to fill in one that had died in front of sun room

-6 Salvias and 6 Lilly Tuff around corner bed

-1 cryptomeria globosa

-Yellow Sedum ground cover

-1 crepe myrtle for middle of corner bed

-1 Weeping Norway that we haven't planted yet

We're going for a layered effect that would fill a lot of the dead space we currently have. We're trying to avoid just dumping a ton of mulch since we're over large trees that constantly drop leaves. There will be a brick walkway put in the front over the next few weeps (potentially lined with boxwoods).

We're in a 7a climate and would say the beds get moderate sun. Thanks!
