Roxburgh Fig hurting

Hi, I recently got my hands on a good sized Roburgh Fig tree and it's been going downhill ever since it went in the ground. The nursery had it in an open cold frame (no fabric, plastic, etc) and no canopy so I thought it was already pretty exposed to the sun. I've lost 5 or 6 leaves since I planted it about 3 weeks ago and the last 3 are showing some signs of burn. They went one at a time, they didn't all singe at once. I'm down to 3 leaves left and am trying to figure out what I need to change so I don't lose it. The bed it's in has a sprinkler that goes off 3x a week. Is this not enough water for a Roxburgh? I don't know a lot about fiicus except for the Fiddle Leaf so I was worries about root rot if I watered any more frequently. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated!!
