Looks like Malibu Green to me. M. Teixeira is holding a large slab for us, which will go on our island, whenever the heck our house gets built. The stone is actually a serpentinite, with just enough talc to qualify as soapstone. It is much harder than soapstone, and pretty near indestructible. Also, it doesn't get oiled, just leave it as is. A short while ago, M. Teixeira had just a few small slabs left. They must have sold out, as I see now that the stone is no longer listed. The brown veins, btw, are iron deposits. Hope that helps.

Soooo, we chose the block with the rusty veining, and prior to going back to lay it out I emailed several times with Ashley DiTomaso confirming exactly what block we wanted, with pictures and everything (we live an hour from Stone Masters and had to pay a babysitter to go there to lay it out, so I didn't want any mixups). When we got there, Ashley had given them the wrong # and they had the wrong slab out. They couldn't get the right slab out same day and told us we would have to come back. The slab that they had out had white veining, which is what my husband had wanted, so I had to concede that one to him since rescheduling for another weekend would delay everything. I'm still bitter about it. I will say that they didn't say a thing to us about the rusty veining lightening up. Take that for what it's worth though, since Ashley wasn't exactly helpful throughout the process. If I had to do it again, I would have gone to Bucky County Soapstone.

First off a couple details- I live in Maine and I don't think the tree is potted in the ideal soil. What happened is the day before my wedding I was drunk, ate a mango, stuck the seed into a big pot of soil I had, then forgot about it for about a month. When I first noticed the tree it took me a few days to figure out what it could possibly be. So, I know given that this is a tropical plant and I live in ME it will never thrive (or produce fruit for that matter), but I do have a bit of a sentimental attachment to it. It stays indoors most of the time, and goes out when it's nice out. Strangely, the problems seem to be getting significantly worse since I started putting it outside (only on 50F+ days). It's hard to get a good picture of, but the brown spots in the middle of the leaf look like they're tiny veins turning brown. Is there anything I can do for it? Thanks in advance.

I only have edible figs, but I see you have advised people with houseplant figs over and over that this forum is for edible figs. I started looking for where it says that, and don't see anything unless it's the word ficus. Up at the top where it says "This forum is for the discussion of figs, those plants of the genus Ficus." You might add edible in front of the word figs.
