The floorplan with measurements is missing for both. What is the width of the aisle space?

I'm not sure that you have room for seating with a 40" aisle. Minimum recommended by the NKBA is 42" for a single user or 48" if multiple users (without seating). This is from edge of countertops, not cabinet to cabinet, so if the measurement is from cabinet to cabinet you probably have a couple inches less. Is your fridge a built-in unit? If not, you'll lose a couple inches because the refrigerator will need to sit forward in order to fully open the doors, further decreasing your aisle space.

I'll leave the floorplan recommendations up to the pros on here, but I've had narrow aisles in a working kitchen before and found it challenging. It was workable, but personally, I wouldn't design the kitchen with narrow seating aisles. Is seating a necessity? The aisles would be narrow at 40" without the seating but add the back of a chair or especially someone sitting in a chair and at 40" you only have room to slide behind the chair, but not room to work.

I definitely like the upper cabinets. What about uppers on that entire wall in lieu of shelves? That gives more space around your window. Personally, love that window!
