You Know You're Remodeling When.... - A Classic
Comments (18)This is a great thread. We're not remodeling but building a new house, and man, can I relate to a lot of these. ...you know every lighting fixture, faucet, sink, appliance by memory because you have endlessly researched each one. you freak out your own GC because you can discuss minute details about your house/kitchen from memory down to the 1/8". you have more e-mails from your GC/subs than you do from your friends. you wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat about some critical detail and then go downstairs to e-mail your GC about it right at the moment before you forget....See Moreface masks, false security
Comments (55)"TB scares me more than anything else they dream up." It shouldn't. It's not a highly infectious disease (you generally need prolonged exposure to someone with TB to catch it yourself) and it is treatable (unless you're in a very poor part of the developing world). Around 500 people a year die from TB in the US. Compare that with 40 to 60,000 who die from influenza or pneumonia, not to mention the numbers killed by Covid....See MoreMask pattern designed by a nurse, super easy.
Comments (24)I just finished my first one using this video (thanks, Raven!). I didn't have the cord, so I used double-fold bias tape, sewing the length of it. But the mask didn't slide well on the tape, so I pulled it out and waited for the 3/16" clothesline that I ordered. I also ordered paracord, but Walmart was out of it. I used a safety pin to thread the cord. When I first tried the mask on there were gaps on the side. But then I followed the directions in her "questions answered" video on how to put it on properly, and that worked really well. Now I just hope it fits my son, as I made it for him....See MoreWhat do you do with your masks?
Comments (53)Arapaho, I stopped bringing a purse to the grocery store for 2 reasons. One, it took up precious room in my cart, which I now fill. Two, I did not want to contaminate any more items than needed. I only bring in my phone, for Apple pay, a printed list, small wipes and sanitizer. First I carried them in a tote bag, but the clerks mistook my "purse" for a grocery bag and each time would start explaining that we have to use plastic. So then I looked around, and I always keep nice shopping bags for things i might have to carry, and I found this, below. This is my new "purse." I had to laugh to myself that I still carry a "designer purse." PS, FWIW, the FDA seems to think we should not worry about virus on surfaces....See Moreravencajun Zone 8b TX
