Lost Firefox Homepage

I lost my homepage and somehow frefox started using a specific (not dangerous or persistant) site I use as its new homepage. I use Firefox and thought I was using Google as my home page (and reset to google) but I guess it was more complicated than that. It did use Google for searches, but it always brought up a display of perhaps 8 previous searches but somehow had sites that I almost always visited shown first while specific lesser searched ones would drop off the display for new ones. I would like to get this display back, but I don't know if it came from google or firefox or elsewhere. My history list only shows specific sites but not this display. Any ideas?

Tools / Options / Home

Set the various options to your preference.

Firefox Home Content - Top Sites probably should be checkmarked if it's not, per your description of previous function.

I check the "Restore previous session" on the Tools/options/startup, so rarely ever see any homepage (see what I ended the previous session).

hello, the machine is only 3 years old,yes i did destroy all the data on it after i formatted.i still have the larger drive but it won't read it. last night a neighbor gave me a windows 2000 disc and i formatted the drive again and it worked;it saw the full capacity of the drive and is ready to use, however when i try to bring the second drive with 225 + gigs of data on it it will not see it no matter how i switch things around bios won't read it, so i took it out, the drive i have working is set to master and is the only drive in the pc but bios says it is a secondary slave drive but it is on the primary ide channel and set to master!!everything in bios is set to auto detect drives,but as soon as i connect the other drive as a slave drive and reboot, the computer freezes and gets stuck on the post screen and hangs.funny thing is when i take that drive and put it in the hard drive enclosure that converts regular drives to use with usb and plug it into the computer i am on right now and reboot, windows comes up and says : found new hardware,mass storage usb device,your hardware is installed and ready to use,it even gives me a new drive letter,shows the drive as a western digital drive but... when i click on the drive letter it says please insert a disk into drive j....hmmm

From the Comcast Help: While using Mozilla Firefox, Select Tools from the top menu, and Options from the drop down list. Select Main. Enter in the address of the site you wish to set as your home page. I assume it would be http://www.comcast.net Click OK to return to Firefox. Restart Firefox to check.

I do not see that at the bottom of my igoogle but I do see it at the bottom of my gmail are you sure that is not where you were seeing it? your gmail is where you would have space limits not igoogle.

I am running an old version and need to for business reasons but pretty much ANY browser will allow you to add and remove options from the toolbar. I don't know why the latest version would be any different. It would be on the View menu-- and likely a feature called custom or customize. In my MUCH older version, the custom option opens a window that allows you to click and drag icons (including "bookmarks" onto your toolbar. My apologies if this no longer applies in the new version-- but I'd be very surprised if it isnt a feature that's available on the View menu.

I have for years set my browser home page for "blank" being that I'm always headed for one of a variety of specific web sites whenever I go online. I know the URLs or they're in my Bookmarks and I don't need something else to come up first
