Hi Ying. GW won't let me respond to the post in the exchanges section because I don't live in Minnesota any more. But I'm planning to come! I'll be bringing my husband with me and he's as excited as I am. We don't have a lot of plants to exchange yet (we moved June of last year) but we have some really pretty Michigan Rocks that I think some of you will love. We've done borders all around our gardens here and a few larger 'feature' rocks too, and we have plenty to share. We're planning on going 'rock picking' this weekend so we'll have plenty to bring along. We're also especially looking forward to seeing so many of my Minnesota gardening friends. I miss you guys! Thank you everyone for coming to the swap. What a difference a weeks makes. Couldn't have been more perfect weather, especially after last weekend. It was and is my pleasure to host the swap every spring, and plan on doing so for a lot more years. Agnes you beat me to the link with the recipe. Tara, now what good is a large yard with grass growing in it. costs money to keep it growing, way to much water to keep it green and we end up with water bans, restrictions all over the place, so how do you water the lawns?, patch the lawns and keep the grass seed wet so it will germinate, seedlings grow etc. Yup, tis why my front lawn looks like it does. We've had permanent water restrictions in town for years and years now and there is a fine for watering on the wrong day. Trust me, the town is eager for money and they travel around just looking for someone watering on the wrong day. If I'm going to water on alternate days, then it's going to be water used to grown my plants and garden beds, not lawns. Zazheen, not a problem with the wagon. Melissa took it with her, got in her car and now the kids have it. Melissa, thanks but no thanks, the wagon is yours, but as Mark said, he would love to see pictures of the "newly renovated wagon" when it's done. MARYANNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!! I received your box today, and lady, you sure pack a great swap box!!! HOLY-COW!!!! Gals, this huge box was FULL of plants and she also managed to get a few fun items in too! For reds - 5 fans of Granny Garnet Iris, Lillium in 1) Samur, 2) LaToya, 3) Avignon Whites - Yarrow, astilbe "Rock & Roll", White leaf with green margin hosta Blues - Halycon Hosta, tradesandia "Purple Profusion", Night Ember daylily and of course, Blue Fescue grass! LOL!! And just for summer fun, there was also a nice clump of mint as well as FIVE Rose of Sharon starts!! Now, for the fun stuff - Earthly also sent a red/white tablecloth, 2 plastic USA cups, the cutest little wooden Americana angel, incense, a new fairy/frog address book, a flag keychain, a great tin sign in Americana which says "3 cheers for the red, white & blue", and even a US flag! To top off this red, white & blue theme, she included a Patriot Hosta!!!!! MaryAnne, I really am thrilled with EVERYTHING you included in this great swap box! And I did not have any of the plants, except the Patriot hosta, which I LOVE & wanted more of! Thank you so much!! Susann

Hi defrost…another early bird. :-) I'm adding to my houseplant collection this winter, which is pretty depleted. Some winters, I just have no interest, but this year I do, probably because this summer my garden time was minimal. Right now, I have some succulents that need repotting and I'm looking for decorative, ceramic probably. I'm going to try to find some shallow pots in a small to medium size for now. I have larger ceramic pots, but they seem like the wrong shape and size. By the way, if anyone knows who sells the best houseplants, besides Logee's in CT, because I haven't got time to take a trip there. I usually end up at Russell's and I stay away from Mahoney's, so I'm looking for somewhere new to try.
