Where did you locate the space/s for your kids to do homework?
Comments (15)It really depends on the child's study style. My older son has ADHD. When he first started doing homework in kindergarten he found the kitchen really distracting. I tried moving him to the dining room but he found the noise from the kitchen to be too much even though he couldn't see it. I ended up buying him a desk that had lots of storage space and stocked it with everything he needed for homework including an electric pencil sharpener. He's now and the third grade and gets him homework done without me having to ride him. I go over his assignments downstairs before he does them and then he shows me that he's done them afterward. If he needs help then he brings his work downstairs and I help him. My younger son starts kindergarten and I suspect he will need for me to be more hands on with him. I plan to make a space downstairs for him to do his work. Basically, I believe that there's no one size fits all answer and you won't really know until your child has homework. Furthermore, their needs can change as they get older. For example, when my older son started school he didn't have any homework on the computer and now he has school work to do on the computer almost everyday. We've had to make accommodations for that....See MoreDesign Dilemma - “Loft” space Office/Lounge

Comments (7)The fence will keep your kids away from the poison ivy and be grateful your neighbors are not spraying weed killer near your growing family and blasting your ears out with leaf blowers. Looks like you have a nice deck where guests will be picking up their drinks, and if you took that picture from your living room, maybe you would like to be looking down toward guest gathering area near the fence, with the trees behind, and your kids swing set could be tucked on the opposite side of the yard, not in the line of sight. Do you want something like a fire pit or lounge furniture? A structure like a gazebo or a pergola? What are the bare patches on the lawn?...See MoreCushions to make this lounge space pop
Comments (6)The black & white daisies need to be hung over the console about 2 inches apart. OR center the console under them which probably won't work with the sofa on that wall. Then remove all the small stuff off the console, it detracts from the art. I would move the white/yellow daisy as it looks crammed in the corner. No pillows as you have loose cushion back sofas. The throw doesn't work either. Maybe 1 pillow on 1 of the sofas....See MoreEvelyn Hernandez
