Ugh! I just don't want to do this!
Comments (8)Well, I got more done than I thought - it's all done except a few bergenia and one hosta, wow! I could have gotten those but I really had to stay on a timetable, I have other things that must get done today and have to get to bed on time tonite. I can pot those up quickly tomorrow after work. I have to stick a few notes out there for the guys, but I don't think they're coming tomorrow, so I'll do that tomorrow. I'm going to have them dig some big hydrangeas and a hydrangea tree, I don't feel I can do it myself, and he said they would if I need help. I looks so weird out there...so bare. I did leave some plants where I know they won't be in the way (measured from the drawing he gave me), I'll deal with digging/moving them when it's time to replant everything. Some of the poor plants already look much worse for wear. Eh, I suppose they'll be fine, tough stuff like rugosas and coneflower and ferns, nothing frou-frou. I felt kind of bad, though - the bumblebees were enjoying the turtlehead, but I had to dig a lot of those, hope they found the flowers on the other side of the yard :0) ruth: let me see what I have left when it's all done. My brother has dibs on a few things. I'm in the western 'burbs of Detroit....See MoreOH NO...what did I do... don't look if you don't like spiders
Comments (17)For three days now, I have been seeing a rather large spider crawling across the top shelf of my computer desk. I haven't tried to catch it to put it outside, because grabbing among all the stuff on the shelf would result in a disaster. It must be difficult to go through life fearful of bugs, spiders, snakes, etc. I don't have that fear, in fact for the most part I find them fascinating, and in the case of spiders, when practical, adopt a live and let live attitude. My mother was the same, as is my sister and my children. But in my husbands family, they all are more fearful. So I am wondering if a persons feelings about such things are inherited or perhaps learned....See MoreUmmm, don't do this!
Comments (32)Anne, Glad you're ok.I also use a tupperware shaker cup for my hot chocolate. But i put the milk in the cup, leaving about 2 " from the top, then when it's hot i add the chocolate powder.Never had a problem. Anyone remember having to sterilize baby bottles?? When i had my first son 48 years ago,i put the sterilizer on the stove one night then went in the living room to fold diapers(yes we did that back in the day.Think i must have dozed off because i woke up quickly to this awful smell.I snapped to quickly ,went in the kitchen and realized what it was.But since i was a new mom,had never experienced anything like this before. So i opened the lid of the sterilizer and burnt nipples shot all over my kitchen, walls ,ceiling, cabinets, floor, kinda like anne's chocolate. What a mess!! Dh wasn't home as he was a Marine and was tdy at that time.So i spent most of the night cleaning the kitchen. Kathi...See MoreDon't forget Big Brother
Comments (14)On jokers update it said Christmas voted that way to stir the pot. At the end of BB last night, Julie said the houseguests will be able to stop who re-enters from Battleback. Fingers crossed it's not Cody that comes back. I can't take anymore of his death stare and nastiness. Kevin just might float through to the end. The houseguests have to explain a lot to him about how the game is played, but I think he's playing them. His hair drives me crazy and often times I can't understand what he says lol. Hoping for Jessica to be out the door next!...See MoreJon 6a SE MA
