Sorry about the unclear image, I had trouble getting my camera to focus on that one stem. :( Anthony, I am using a fine orchid mix with perlite that I added (I believe I did 3 parts mix, 1 part perlite, as suggested from another discussion thread) (I live in southwest Arizona with a lack of access to good gardening centers and since I wanted to re-pot in a hurry to save the plants from the stalk that had root rot after receiving them I was unable to "build my own" soil). I was planning to re-pot in a year or two with better material I am going to order online and move to the next size or higher pot. Unless you feel I need to re-pot sooner. Right now, it is in a 6 inch pot. They were 3 small braided trees grouped together in a relatively small rectangular pot when I received them so I had thought a 6 inch pot would give them room to grow (without causing too much stress) as they would be separated in their own pots. This is the largest of the three small braided trees I have. Unless the tree's roots have grown at an exceptional rate since June I do not think it is pot bound (but, of course I could be wrong, this is my first time caring for these plants and I know little about gardening). I moved them, a few weeks ago, to a west facing window with better sunlight thinking they were getting too little light in the east window I had them in due to an awning being in the way and have been giving the supplements suggested here. I've seen improvement so I was doing the waiting game on the drooping. Thank you for the advice and taking the time to help. I appreciate it greatly!

Hi! Don't worry about the parts that died, that was not under your control. Now you can help the living parts become stronger with Josh's advice. I have a pachira tree as well, it went from tiny to tall and now its tiny again. I trimmed it about a month ago and I have loads of new growth! So no need to worry, the trunks that are still alive will thrive. Joshs tree is only one trunk, I like the look because I mainly see braided money trees so this is a nice change, almost even more appealing than the braid. Ashley

Thanks for the quick replies. I was unaware of the gutation process in this plant or at least i never noticed. The pot does has a hole and a large one (about the size of a thumb). This process of leaves dropping started in the original vase where i bought the plant one, before repotting. I bought universal substrate, as recommended by vendor, and repotted the plant. It seems the soil is a bit more water retentive. That's why i bought a humidity sensor rod, so i wouldn't overwater. Still the soil keeps wet after 3-4 days. So i water it only every week or so. I haven't tried to moisturize the leaves with a water spray, Though i don't beleive i need to because the humidity level in my house air is around 70%. Since i have the plant i only fertilized it 2 to 3 times (in a 8 month period) being the latest one after the problem started. After reading the link you gave me, i am inclined to look after the soil. Though i am yet to see hor retentive it is. If it is too retentive how can i improve soil drainage? Here is another photo. Thanks so much for the advice! I've opened the blinds fully now, so we'll see how much it takes off from here on out. I've read all of the post history here regarding this plant, and I've also adopted the skewer stick in the soil so I don't over water. There's a wealth of knowledge here, I'm glad I found this resource. I do have another question. Regarding continuing the braid, do I need to trim back the cut stems (you can see them in the picture above) before I continue the braid? I feel it would look better but I'm not sure what it will do to the health of the tree. Also, in the picture above you can see I have put a little "trinket" (it's a little turtle actually) in the pot so I can make sure I turn the plant evenly each week. What do others do to make sure the rotation is even? Thanks again!
