This lovely traditional-style pool house and pool are nestled in the backyard of a palatial estate in suburban Michigan by Blok Builders.
The pool house, which is a charming microcosm of the main house, has a bar inside and an outdoor shower around the corner. The pool has a diving board, an entry railing and, at the far end, an integrated hot tub (not shown). It’s all surrounded by rectangular pavers and multiple open-air lounging and dining areas.

On the other end of the size spectrum is this 9-by-12-foot pool in Austin, Texas, which was a collaboration between Cutters Landscaping, Yardzen and Texas Tiny Pools.
As if the playful midcentury modern-style Acapulco chairs and geometric tile details weren’t fun enough, the deck actually slides over the pool to form a cover.

For this resort-style residence, design-build firm Forsite Studio took advantage of central Texas’s year-round temperate climate by extending the living space outdoors to include a central pool, lounge seating and an outdoor kitchen.
The home’s upper floor shades much of the pool’s narrow wooden deck. The firm describes the design as engawa style, inspired by Japanese architecture.
