I'm so sorry, Sisters in faith.

Sisters in Faith, I am so sorry and thank you for reminding us why this day is important. Too young.

The best of the best, we honor all of them.

My photo was taken at the same location as Jim's photo:

Sisters in faith, I'm so sorry that your family lost your nephew; he was so very young.

Several years ago when we took DGD to DC. WWII, Vietnam and Korean memorials.

My Uncle Eddie, who served in WWII. He went off to war leaving his wife and infant daughter in 1943. Happy to report he survived and came home when the war was over.

I am very sorry about your nephew Sisters in faith.

While one of the major claims that we make regarding the privileges that they died to preserve for us was/is the capability to live with freedom and democracy, many are deeply concerned that both are at risk in what we call the "free world" these days.

One of your great leaders, was it Nathan Hale, said something like "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance"

We would do well to take it to heart, in our days.

Part of the poem, "In Flander's Fields", written in World War I, says, " ... if ye break faith with us who die ..." needs still to guide our ways, I think, and recommit.

Many in other parts of the world yearn to live enjoying those privileges.
