Getting coffee grounds out of Keurig k-cups...any ideas?

So here's my problem. I like to use coffee grounds in my garden. They lower the ph slightly (which is very good for my soil) and make great compost for plants. The problem is the people in my house don't usually make coffee normally. We just buy k-cups and make it in the Keurig. So, I need an easy way to get the grounds and filters (these can be used as well) out of the used k-cups so they can be used in the garden. Any ideas? We go through A LOT of these (it's not at all uncommon for people to drink several of these daily) so I'm looking for the least time consuming method possible.
