Pictures please

That’s not a simple question. We do need images. It matters how your “large” soffit was built, whether you have crown molding and how it was applied. You will have different solutions if: 1. your soffit is made of sheet rocked corners and overhangs your cabinet, 2. is continuous or has breaks, or 3. is cut out of/contiguous with the wall. In the last image below, you can see how wall color is not always the best choice.

Thanks all for your help! I put an old photo, our kitchen right now is a mess because we're working on the backsplash and the countertop.

I have the same question and here is a photo of our kitchen so far. Inclined to paint or sale colour as cabinets (mushroom). What do you think ? I will have three wall lights in the middle section coming out from the soffit as well.
