porch/landscaping ideas needed
Comments (2)Have you had a look at wood deck tiles? You can lay these directly over a concrete patio or pathway without having to rip it usp. And they look just like a custom wood deck. Try www.swiftdeck.com or www.ezydeck.net for example....See MoreLandscaping ideas with new front porch
Comments (5)I suggest you not fill in front of the porch with garden but bring the lawn up to it, allowing small beds for seasonal color at the posts and a small bed near the garage. (Let the garage bed be at least 4' deep.) At the left side, it looks like you could bring a bed forward, connecting it with the lot line, and include a small tree in it. Groundcover could go below. The front of the house would look MUCH better if the grade were level and flush with the stoop. However, this causes an issue near the garage because it was not planned for this. The bed at the garage could be sunken and this portion concealed with planting. The turf would need a curb at the front of the bed in order to retain its edge (which would seem raised relative to the bed. It does not make sense to me -- for either appearance or function -- to have the "riser" of the stoop exposed.)...See MoreLandscaping at front porch - need to add curb appeal and hide pipes
Comments (11)One could not know how to reshape the bed by looking at half of it, or seeing it at an angle from a distance. Return to where you took the first picture. Move in closer but where you can see the whole first floor of house and the lawn. (You'll be standing on the parkway or near edge of walk. OK to turn the camera to vertical format.) Take a panoramic picture by using that feature of the camera or by taking slightly overlapping pictures. Show every square in the of yard space that is between both drives. (We'll also be seeing your right neighbor's house in the background.) Normally, the clean-out pipes are cut off flush to the ground surface. I don't know if there's anything about your area that requires different, but that's the reason you don't see them elsewhere. Do all the yards there have these things sticking up like that?...See MoreNeed color ideas for front door, porch, steps, shutters;landscape idea
Comments (9)I pulled up this photo. The brick is a little darker but similar to yours, I thought. I like the idea of a green for your shutters and I wondered about painting both door and trim a dark color, maybe a dark purplish almost black. I think the column could be pulled from your chart, a warmer tone than your current white - maybe Swiss Coffee. Think about whether you'd like that same color for your railing and maybe a dark brown from your brick for the treads and risers. Here's a screenshot of some greens that might work. This link will let you identify all the colors shown, if you want. I love your brick. https://benjaminmoorefrance.com/en/colors/1560...See MoreBkob
