Comments (2)Without a picture, the choices are endless--Viburnums, Spireas, Deutzias, Hydrangeas and on and on, with dozens of cultivars in each genus. I say the choices are endless because we have no idea of the size you need or how any of them would look against your house. Comments (20)Beautiful home. I'm not sure if it would work for your style home, but I've always loved the look of a mirror styled like a faux window on front porches. I think one would fit well over your bench. I would also add a colorful (yellow?) bench cushion, maybe a chair in a matching color off to the right, and a colorful wreath on the door (forsythia?). I would also add two planters on the first step where it widens out toward the lights. And, maybe you want to consider adding a pendant light over the front door- you could just leave it on at all times and choose a daylight warmth bulb so it's not obvious the light isn't natural....See MoreIdeas for budget-friendly front steps/porch replacement?

Comments (9)IMO, the porch looks low and dark because that's where the roof line is lowest. I think putting rock veneer there will make it look even more cave-like. I also don't think it will enhance your tropical plantings and the feeling you're going for in the landscape. You might have the rough stucco under the porch knocked back to a smoother surface before painting....See MoreRelated Professionals
