Roseshell Azalea

I am posting from eastern Maryland. Our pinxters are finished so am calling this roseshell, at one time known as R. prinophyllum. I raised these from cuttings taken locally, they have a darker flower than pinxters.
One thing that puzzles me is that all references mention roseshell has a fragrance, not so here. Also, my state's flora states roseshell is restricted to the mountain zone, no where close to me.
I really must say, these are great shrubs for massing. If I could I would cover the whole place with roseshell & pinxterbloom.
This type of plant is only available from small growers and hobby types, also Native Plant Exchanges.
