The Beauty of Fall

The Maple in the back yard dazzles me every fall.

And this one, a Live OaK, known as the Angel Oak in South Carolina. I have posted it before. That is three of my favorite people under it. My sister-in-law, my sister and me!

I know it's spring, but I love Fall

Uptown Gal - Thank you. I have always loved the Winnie the Pooh stories and as a child it was so easy to fall into their magical little world. I didn't even think of them as animals but rather as friends. So when we bought our retreat I told DH that I wanted to call it the 100 Acre Woods, it's actually more than that but 135 Acre Woods just doesn't have a ring to it. I feel so lucky when I happen to see one of the bear cubs scampering through the woods. And they do remind me of Pooh bear with their rounded bellies and short legs.

We have a lot of beautiful old oaks all over our neighborhood. I took the first pic when part of one fell down along our driveway a few years ago. :-( Second pic shows the little oak we planted in that spot (on the right between the two bushes). Last is an oak branch that grows over our front walkway.

Jasdip, those are beautiful! I love Fall, too.
