what is this tree and what the heck is growing out of the top???
Comments (1)A species of Cordyline. The thing growing out of it is the flower stem; you can keep it. You will probably find that the stem will branch after the flowering is finished. Old plants become much-branched, as in the pic below Resin Here is a link that might be useful:...See MoreKitchenAid induction video - what the heck??
Comments (26)I can answer weed's excellent question using my KA unit. I just put the 12 qt Tramontina Tri Ply empty on the 11 inch hob and set it on power boost. It buzzed (it didn't click, because it only clicks on 5 or less). I filled it with at least 8 qts of water (we're having macaroni tonight, so this was timely) and put it on power boost. It still buzzed, but it was slightly quieter. Not a big difference, though. I just checked - the water is starting to simmer (it is pretty fast), and it's still buzzing, but not as loudly as for the poor guy on youtube. Since my unit does take pans smaller than the hob, either his unit is faulty, or his cookware is the difference. Still, he's done the world a service by posting this. No one should buy KA induction unless the noise really doesn't matter....See More2 lb half pork round- what the heck do I do with it?
Comments (4)I didn't know what a pork round was, so looked it up and found these instructions. It sounds like it should be cooked like any pork roast. This is the recipe I found, but you can just season it with salt and pepper if you wish and serve with apple sauce.: Makes 8 servings Ingredients: 1.2 kilograms pork roast, inside round Seasoning ingredients: 1 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper 1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 1 large clove garlic, crushed 1 teaspoon rosemary 1 teaspoon thyme 1/2 tsp. ground paprika 1 tsp. olive oil Vegetables: 2 medium carrots sliced 2 small turnips, diced Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 325°F. 2. in a small bowl, combine the seasonings ingredients and then rub the mixture evenly into surface of pork round roast. 3. Place pork round roast, fat side up, on rack in shallow roasting pan. 4. Add ¼ cup water- cover roast. 5. After 90 minutes remove cover 6. Cook in the oven for about 2 1/2 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F for medium-rare or 155°F for medium. 7. Remove pork round roast from oven and tent loosely with aluminum foil. 8. Let stand 15 minutes prior to carving into slices....See MoreWhat the heck is it? A ladle, but for what purpose/
Comments (17)I know you put some measurements in OP but would like to see next to something familiar for perspective?? You said a little more than a foot long and about 3.5 "circumference"?? Maybe diameter? That size circumference would be smaller than index finger to thumb "circle"??...See Moreplllog
