Furniture is here! Another decision to make..help :)
Comments (31)We actually tried to move both sofa's next to the end table but we thought it looked funny since there was a large space and then the table...a little difficult to explain and I'm sure a pic would help. This would also close up one of the entrances to the sitting area. I'm having a hard time adjusting to the new position of my recliner. Once we put up curtains I can see them getting in my way and I don't get any draft from the ceiling fan over in my corner. Sooooo, there may be a few changes later down the road. We also tried putting the recliner next to the fireplace and didn't care for that. I can post more pics of different layouts once the flooring is installed....See MoreNeed help with decision of color scheme for furniture
Comments (4)Michele, it's your house and the decorating police will not come to arrest you if you do whatever pleases you. This room is separate from the others and that gives you more leeway to do what you want. You just need to figure out what colors you do like other than plum, and whether you want plum walls or carpeting and/or furniture in that color. Google "purple colored living rooms" and then click on the images. I really like purple with yellow, which I wouldn't have thought of on my own. It's a great combination in spring flowers, so why not in rooms?...See MoreDoes anyone know where to buy this outdoor illuminated furniture? Help

Comments (1)When choosing outdoor furniture that is kid-friendly and suitable for entertaining, there are a few factors to consider. Here are some suggestions to help you decide on the type of outdoor furniture that would work well for your needs: 1.Sectional: A sectional is a versatile option that can provide ample seating for both adults and children. It offers flexibility in terms of configuration and can be rearranged to accommodate different seating arrangements or even create a cozy lounging area. Look for sectionals with durable, stain-resistant fabrics that are easy to clean in case of spills or accidents. 2.Rectangular Dining Table: If you enjoy hosting outdoor meals and gatherings, a rectangular dining table can be a practical choice. It provides a spacious surface area for serving food and drinks, and you can easily add chairs or benches around it. Consider a table with a sturdy construction and a weather-resistant finish to withstand outdoor conditions. 3.Square Table: A square table can be a good option if you have a smaller outdoor space or prefer a more intimate setting. It can accommodate a smaller number of guests while still providing a functional dining area. Look for a square table with rounded edges to ensure safety for your children. 4.Materials: When selecting outdoor furniture, opt for materials that are durable, easy to clean, and resistant to weather conditions. Some popular options include weather-resistant wicker, aluminum, teak, or wrought iron. These materials are known for their sturdiness and ability to withstand outdoor elements. 5.Cushions and Upholstery: For outdoor furniture with cushions or upholstery, choose fabrics that are water-resistant, fade-resistant, and easy to clean. Sunbrella or similar outdoor-grade fabrics are a good choice as they are designed to withstand sun exposure and are generally resistant to stains and mildew. 6.Safety Considerations: If you have small children, prioritize furniture with rounded edges and avoid sharp corners or pieces with delicate glass surfaces that could pose a hazard. Additionally, ensure that the furniture is stable and doesn't tip easily, providing a safe environment for your children to play. Remember to consider the available space in your outdoor area, taking measurements to ensure the furniture you choose fits appropriately. It's also helpful to browse catalogs or visit local stores to see the furniture options in person and test their comfort and functionality....See Moreohgoodness
