PLEASE help me find my rex begonia back
Comments (1)I would search for red rex begonias (images) and see if you can find any that match your memory. It does sound like a rex. Dragon Wings is a registered begonia name and is noted for its ever blooming red flowers (and there is a pink blooming one too) and how it holds up in full sun. Angel wing begonias is a common catch all phrase applied to lots of cane type begonias (not rexes)....See MoreWhat’s wrong with my Monstera deliciosa? Please help!
Comments (7)I water her once the top two inches of her soil is dry and I keep her in front of an east-facing window. I run the humidifier pretty often as well, keeping the room at a humidity of 60-70%. I also mist throughout the day. She only has one new, healthy growth and the rest are either stunted or growing very slowly and I can’t tell LOL are they not growing because of those dry edges?! :( One of my Calathea’s was just infected with spider mites. I’ve since then isolated her but maybe it wasn’t soon enough, which means... could those issues be from spider mites?! I’ve inspected her soil pretty closely and I’ve only found a few baby gnats (yikes!) which I’ve since then sprayed a bit of neem oil solution on her soil. Haven’t found any sign of webbing either. Please help!! I just want her to get better. Thank you!!...See MoreWhat’s wrong with my tree? Disease? Dying?
Comments (3)One of the various fungal agents collectively known as maple anthracnose. It is generally not a serious issue, more cosmetic than actually harmful......and it can fluctuate from year to year with weather conditions. And once you see visible signs of the problem, it is too late to treat anyway. But it is best to rake up and destroy or fully compost all the leaves in fall. Don't just use them as is as a mulch as the fungal spores can winter over....See MoreHelp, please. I don’t know what’s wrong with my rose.
Comments (8)i doubt sitting in water for a few hours one day had much of anything to do with all this.. besides .. if that would have caused a problem it would have been a root problems.. and it wouldnt have showed up in a few days ... so its probably the sun problem ... its was stressed from shipping .. the sun stressed it .. its stressed ... get it in full bright shade.. and let it settle down and hopefully it will releaf and get going ... one other caveat.. thats a pretty small pot to ever have the pot itself in the sun.. it might allow the roots to get to hot.. wait for it.. stressing the plant even more ... and being on a brick patio in the sun you might take into consideration radiant heat from the brick ... also.. if it was greenhosue grown.. thats a whole other level of light intensity stress ... good job on the seller sending a new plant.. no matter what happens to this one ... you will have a free plant ... in my MI .. later freezes are a thing.. and a hard hit rose can and will releaf ... if the plant is well established ... yours is not.. but there are still good odds it can recover and come back... if you put it in full bright shade.. and water it properly .. it is not a water loving houseplant .. so do not keep it sodden ... but dont let it go bone dry ... ken...See Morefloral_uk z.8/9 SW UK
