Farm Sink - 30' or 36' and what brand?
Comments (12)I bought a rohl shaw farmhouse sink in 2007. It looked nice for about 3 years. Then ts started getting stains from not draining right. Rohl said it wasn't installed right cause it wasnt level. It is totally level if you put a level with bubbles on the edge. A couple years later I noticed strange dark spots all over the bottom. Rohl said it's because I didn't buy the grate for trhe bottom of the sink and that I used too strong of cleaners. I have never used cleaners on my sink. Now I have those spots all over the edges and the front, they are small hunks where it dips in, little dimples. Rohl sent me a repair kit, it took me 2 hrs to fill in the hundred spots, most of the repair material fell back out. I did love this sink, it doesn't stain and is easy to wash big items and give babies baths in it. But it will not look nice for long....See More30 or 36' sink cabinet? Offset drain sink???
Comments (5)Blanco has a couple of great silgranit sinks with offset drains. One is offset to the middle back, and one is offset to the corner in back. I love silgranit sinks. They never get water spots like stainless. They are quieter than stainless. They don't scratch like cast iron. Do a search at the bottom of the page for granite sinks, or silgranite, or silgranit. They are really fab! Oh, and pretty too with several colors available. The one I'm planning is the Precis with the middle back drain. It has a quilted bottom so water drains easier. I can't remember the name of the other, but if you go to faucet direct.com and use their filter search you should find them both....See MoreSink size for 36' base cabinet?
Comments (23)I sold the unit, so have to dig up a kitchen photo. I made a mistake on the sink I mentioned. I bought the 25" sink (outer dimension) with a 23" interior width. https://www.amazon.com/Kraus-KA1US25B-Undermount-Antibacterial-Stainless/dp/B088XSDTM2/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=Kraus+25%22+sink&qid=1637870145&qsid=140-9070209-0773938&sr=8-2&sres=B088XSDTM2%2CB07HGTTQP8%2CB07SKKXYK7%2CB005HH0Z2O%2CB07B999MPR%2CB08286QR8L%2CB075SBVR6F%2CB0183W4N0Y%2CB0032C5YGI%2CB077F11TYR%2CB07NDBXW6G%2CB07FKWDL43%2CB00E6SP5R0%2CB07B95VJC5%2CB0042D33IC%2CB07NBRD84C%2CB003U26QZS%2CB0183W4MTQ%2CB0032BWTSU%2CB0183W4MZK&srpt=SINK...See MoreWhat Size Apron Front Sink - 36" or 30"
Comments (9)Joseph. I had thought of that but not sire of how difficult it would be to find a sink that had the exact cut out but I will let the people actually working with the counter and cabinet let me know if I can do that. haven sells what it calls retrofitted sinks to fit existing cabinetry so perhaps that is also an option. For any soul who wandered into this thread and might worry about their sinks and permits, you probably wouldn’t have any issues. There are more stringent requirements for my sink because I live in a high rise multi family building and theoretically sub standard fixtures would have ramifications for other units in the building unlike a single family home. Of course it’s still insane that a sink which is higher quality can’t be used because it lacks a bureaucratic seal of approval....See MoreLisa O'Dwyer
