But I am sewing like a madman! 14 click bags (will do a give away when it is safer) and at least 20 masks! I have lots of Hello Kitty fabric, so that’s what I’m using. When I run out I have some Star Wars!
Need to finish 3 so I can mail to our families tomorrow.
This is how I’m staying sane these days!

Comments (9)Hi Plllog! "That is, I know it's possible, but might not be in your budget." See, there's the crux of it. This little beverage center idea of mine was not in the original budget. (Nor, alas, were new drywall in the livingroom and halls, the gorgeous walnut top on my used cabinet island, the matching gorgeous top that will soon be on the new media cabinet and the near full gut of the bathroom.) And we're still determined to get through remodeling our ugly duckling without taking out a loan or dipping into savings. Conventional wisdom says: Wait until the coffers are full again but that's so hard to do. First off, I'm a cheapskate. Even if the goose who laid the golden egg waddled up onto my deck and built a nest, I'm not sure I would willingly pay someone to mess up the walls I just paid to fix. Second, I'm not quite cheap enough. My new kitchen is starting to look pretty good but, gosh, it would look so much better if the microwave and coffee maker didn't take up so much room on that one counter. I'm willing to spend a little bit more to change that, especially since I'm going to have a piece of countertop leftover that should be just the right size. Still, it's nice to know that it's possible. Maybe when the coffers ARE full again I'll put a tile counter outside on my deck to shade the golden goose should she happen to wander by ;) Thanks for your help!...See Moreemagineer, I don't know how else to answer you
Comments (2)The mixture can be used at any temp, environment will only change the amount of drying time. It is primarily vinegar. Tis' the steel that causes aging. The more you use the more it will age, plus the amount of steel wool or nails, anything that rusts. You will see a change fairly quick. Plus no paint smells, just vinegar and this sets the aging. The nails cause the aging. Will be gray/natural as if in the elements forever. Of importance though, you can't go back. Also, getting it on anything else, even fabric, will never come out. Once it is aged will stay that way. You can paint over it though. Just slap the mixture on with a brush, like a wash. Be sure to test it on a similar wood. Dark woods like majogany really turn dark, but light ones look gray,aged. I liked the idea of having a sign over the the door to finish off my shed. It was the look that appealed to me. Have an old one to do this with. You have done a lot of work and love it all. Comments (20)Just wanted to add that the first time I got it very bad, we were at a friend's house in the country. They were burning the ditches, and apparently I inhaled PI smoke. I also got it bad in the spring time when it was pollinating. You don't have to have direct contact with it to get it. Mom said my uncle used to tease her by pulling it up bare handed and rubbing it all over. He never got it and neither did my grandpa. Comments (5)Too dry. They like to be watered and will be among the first plants to yellow and drop leaves when too dry. 6 years agoI did have a candle burning to seal the ends but I was afraid I was going to forget it and toss something on it and catch the house on fire lol.
