Thank you BenT. I actually was hoping you had an idea since you always have the nicest hybrid teas..... so after reading the name you gave me I looked it up on HMF. It says it is susceptible to mildew and no mention of black spot. If she does well with blackspot I can learn to like her because her growth seems vigorous so far. Thank you. I like having a name for my roses.

Lilyfinch =) thanks. I was like OHHHH NOO when I saw the single large buds form. Thanks for understanding. I planted Bathsheba next to “Sally” thinking they would look great together. At least this color won’t clash lol tho to be fair I mix clashing colors all the time, I just don’t like it when it is accidental =).

This is the second SH bagged rose not being true that I've read about. What a drag. I hope the ones at Menard's this year are true. I'll be watching for an ID. You might try looking in the Weeks catalogue as that is how I've ID'd many that had made up names.

Could it be Peace or does it not have enough pink ?

When my body bad Sterling Silver, a notoriously weak grower, sprouted 4 big canes, I knew it was too good to be true. This might be Tiffany, but there’s not yellow base nor fragrance.

Vapor I think I may be uncharacteristically unlucky for busy bags. 2 years ago I purchased 3 playboy at Lowes and they turned out to be some red hybrid teas.lol. I think I am done trying.

Kristine I think it is too pale for peace. Also it is too vigorous. I have two Peace roses and they barely grow here and just defoliate constantly. This rose seems stronger in nature. We will see what I do with it. It happens to be in one of my very few spots with full sun at the lake so unless it can super impress me it may have to go.

Hahha Bent I do agree with you on that one. Certainly not sterling silver. I hate you got the wrong rose too. It is very disappointing to me, unless I end up with a mistake like Blossom Time =). I recently burned 2 Sterling Silvers I had. I wish I knew you wanted them and I could have shipped them maybe. They were just too much trouble for me to handle. The blooms were beautiful as they began to open and then just burned terribly.

I've had 100% success with Menard's bagged roses. I'm not so sure about other stores from other growers.

Vapor we don’t have a Menard‘s around here. I wished there was something reliable for body bags. It would be nice to be able to get some decent roses with great prices.

The only other ones I've read good things about are those from Aldi's. Apparently they only keep them for a week or two when advertised. Little variety, but plump and true to name as far as that goes. I've never purchased any. Hopefully Menard's will head down your way soon. What I like about theirs is that a lot of the varieties are suitable for my conditions and aren't all the "usual" suspects of Hybrid Teas. They also have very well-priced potted roses. I think they're heading South, so fingers crossed :-D

Thanks Dianela, I should have know such a fat plump Sterling Silver for five dollars was too good to be true! I have quite a few lavenders that are doing well, just faced such a big bargain Sterling Silver I convinced myself it was a once in a lifetime opportunity loll.
