Home-made bay rod for small kitchen bay window??
Comments (2)I actually did that once for a bay window in my living room. Rather than using sash rods, I used dowels and tubing. It worked OK! I have since decide that I like the treatment on the outside front of the window, so abandoned the homemade rod, but it DID work!...See MoreSmall Small Kitchen update
Comments (18)Hi Miss Jay! I did check out your blog. You have a nice chatty style that is easy to read. I, too, prefer to do my shopping online. I like how your kitchen turned out, with all the cubby holes and little shelves for oils and spices and such. It is homey and comfortable. One question, do you have ventilation with the side windows in the garden window? It looks like you might. With the range hood fan on and those windows open, It could get a bit of a breezy flow going during cooler times. Otherwise, I would worry that your little kitchen would get stuffy. I have admired your screen door plate rack since the first time I saw it. It is so pretty, so practical, and such an unexpected surprise when you see it there at the end of the hall. Your painting skills are to be admired, as well, shown by your three little monkeys on the table top and the Hamsa. Your home is alive with the warmth of your personality and your skills. Comments (1)I would look at roller shades and maybe even the possiblity of battery powered ones. They will give you a clean look and clear view of your window openings. If you want curtains, you can use an iron rod and have it bent to the corners of your bay windows. Use a mount at either end and 1 in the middle (screw it in place so the rod doesn't move). You can then close the curtains to the center of the opening without any major issues....See MoreTrying to find a semi sheer window treatment for a 5 window bay window
Comments (5)I recently bought a product called Veilish. It’s a window film made with fabric material. It’s semi-transparent, so it can provide indoor privacy without blocking the view outdoors. The best thing is that it is self-adhesive, and it can be installed and removed easily, so you don’t need an installation expert. I think you will definitely be satisfied with this product....See MoreWindows on Washington Ltd
