benjesbride , your layout looks nice. The back run of cabinets is about 22' plus another 12' for the island and 5' next to the fridge. Is that a lot of linear feet of cabinets? I like the idea of opening the dining room up and moving the entrance to the center at some point in time. Would love to do it right away, but I'm not sure what the rest is going to cost. Our window guy is stopping by tomorrow to give us a price on replacing the bay with other indows (double-hung, casement or sliders). I know the new bay would be almost $3,900 so I am hoping for a quote that is much less than that. I am also meeting with a KD tomorrow who, based upon our conversation, will most likely be proposing something like this photo. I am not sure what I think about it, but know that he has actual photos of other kitchens with a similar layout. What do you think? I still think the bay causes a problem.

HI, I know i am late commenting on this one, but we are spreading the word about a new bay curtain pole that doesn't have brackets at the corner so you can have eyelet curtains which i think would be perfect for what you are looking for. The pole can hold utp 30kg and is amazing. Your eyelet curtain poles can go around the corners without being obstructed by brackets, this means that you can have a pair of curtains working around the window and then drawing back out of the way. Old curtains are down, new ones are up. 'Wrought iron' scroll is meant to reference scrolls on the furniture. Not sure how successful that is - seems a little too delicate? Love the simple, statement curtain rods: $85 at West Elm, $45 at Home Depot, $25 (but two trips to find both) at TJ Maxx. Suspect black round place mats or chargers are in my future. Would love 12" caramel-colored tapers (natural beeswax?) but these from Roots are the most substantial I could find, for now. Round table to follow. I would suggest Hunter Douglas cellular shades for each window. They have several styles to choose from. They should be mounted into the ceiling and measured and hung professionally. The measure would fit each window individually and perfectly. You could have just top down or top down bottom up which would give you the most flexibility. If you choose, you could do a simple valance at the top, inside the bay, to hide the hardware.
