Hi Lisa. Happy fourth. We just had calacatta lux installed five days ago. Love the look. The horror stories on Houzz however are frightening. Water beads as was promised on counter when they sealed but edge near sink discolored from droplets. It did fade away in about an hour. Have you had any problems or did you have any staining? How was it processed? Ours came the day after it was cut and hoping down the road I don’t experience the edge stains. Anything you can add is very helpful. Thank you again. Oxford white is perfect with the 5131 Calacatta Nuvo...our reno is a long story but we had this combination in our new kitchen, for a short period of time and I loved it. I first saw this combo in a friends home which was beautiful. Our kitchen was ruined before we were able to use it due to a flood. Our new kitchen after the flood is still Oxford white but the counters are now quartzite. I do like Simply white...have it in my bedroom but just preferred Oxford for my kitchen.

I found this thread when searching on Houzz for Calacatta Ida, just saying thanks to everyone for the information sharing! I have a few quartz colors by MSI that I'm considering (and a few by Cosmos). Since I think this thread is about a year old, I was curious if there was an updated list of the MSI quartz colors that use Breton technology, so I emailed MSI. After a few frustrating email exchanges (the customer service rep on the email had no idea what I was asking for based on her replies) someone from MSI called me and said they do not give out the list because it is proprietary information She said once I narrow down my choices I can email them a list of colors I'm considering and they will let me know which of those use Breton. She also tried to tell me that it doesn't matter if it uses Breton, all MSI quartz are covered by the same warranty, but I feel if the product is superior to begin with (and fabricated and installed correctly) there is less chance of something going wrong and needing to use the warranty! Plus in my experience, many companies make it very hard to use the warranty, they come up with excuses. Just my opinion. Again thanks to all contributors on this post, very helpful with my decision making! :-)

tamber1123 thank you for posting photos! How are you liking your quartz and would you pick it again? oyenarte what did you decide for your countertops? I'm making final decisions on my countertops and Abezzo is currently my favorite. Thank you in advance!
