That cute fabric is from Clarke & Clarke. The problem with the new vintage look fabric is that it is such a large print. Seems like everything is "Go big or go home" these days, like the new wallpaper designs. Looking at the new pictures of your windows, I don't really think valances is the way to go. It seems to make them top heavy. I love the look of the curtain on the lower half of the window. After you paint your door and trim see what you think of your new breakfast room. I think Vytex is pretty regional in the East/Northeast. Sunrise and Softlite have some presence out West and Okna has been working that way, not sure which is available in ID though. Best bet would be to contact them directly and ask for a recommended dealer if they do.

I would just frost the window and not cover it with anything. This will give you light and privacy

I"m in the US but looks like Jeld-Wen has product in Canada as does Marvin. Re: Marvin, they have a line called Integrity which is stock sizes and less expensive than the Marvin line. I have Integrity casements all through my house and love them. Heat, not cold is the issue in North Carolina and even on the hottest days, the glass is cool to the touch. I have a 12' Jeld-Wen slider that is great. Sorry, my laptop won't let me past links for some reason but.
