I agree with what you said, but can you recommend some good quality and appearance of the bathtub?

Well, I think you need this rug I spotted on Amazon to go by the tub... Something like this (or paint them yourself) to go on the wall OR THIS When you look at those you will see links to beach signs, flip flop light string, outlet and switch plate covers, vinyl surfboard wall art and more. I'd pick a few of those, get bright beach color towels and accessories. Bathrooms are fun because it doesn't take too much to create a theme, but you can also go all out. I also like the idea of using a matching blue paint around the vanity area, keeping the tub area white ad accessorizing with the blue and then using blue and white towels or other brights. I like crisp blue and white, but not everyone does, and with a boy and a girl, I think they'd most likely like a lot of colors to make it fun and not too feminine or masculine.

So far, it seems like #3 is the top contender. I like the detail in #4, but as I mentioned, I was concerned about the 3 1/4" depth. As it turns out, the designer I've been working with has this mirror from Shades of Light, called the beaded frame, and was able to drop it off today while I was at work. It did not work out for another client because of the depth of the mirror and the height of her faucet. DH just held it up in our bathroom and even tho we do not have the problem with the height of the faucet, it really does seem to stick out too far. The sconces project about 8" and the mirror projects 3 1/4".

Thank you everyone!! I should clarify, I wouldn't mind the tile if the white was actually white, it's just more of a worn/cream/off white type color which is throwing me off a little bit. I do like the idea of adding a pop of color - I'm just one of those people that's usually afraid of color! So I first went for white and black and got a little disappointed. Loving the teal/aqua recommendation though:) thanks again everyone!
