painting bedroom - cutting in and ceiling touch up
Comments (7)Ok update. I finished the first coat of paint - rolling and cutting. It came out great. I still need to do a second coat to cover up the underlying paint though. Is it easy to do a second coat of flat paint? What I mean is does the fact that I am using flat paint affect how the second layer of paint will go on? The first coat went on like butter, but given that I had some trouble painting the ceiling in flat (behr ceiling flat), I am hesitant to try the second coat of SW paint on the walls. Im still debating how I should approach fixing the cut in line. I did creep up into the ceiling slightly but my lines were not consistent. I am wondering if I should use an artist brush to create that straight line illusion....See More8’ or 9’ ceiling for the cozy T.V. room next to master bedroom?
Comments (7)Ditto. One room with 8’ ceilings in a house of 9’ ceilings is odd to me. But, I have and love 10’ ceilings so I might not be the best one to ask. :) I do think you can make a room feel cozy with the type of furnishings and window treatments....See MoreFailing at creating a cozy, calm master bedroom. Comments (15)I think your room is very pretty; love the addition of cream curtains. You could get a big, fluffy duvet and just fold it onto the bench at night and sleep under your current one if it's the right temp/weight for you. I think the outlier is the rug. It doesn't look pretty or cozy to me at all. The floors are gorgeous and it's similar in color but not as pretty as the floor and I don't think it adds anything to the decor....See MoreHow to make an awkward bedroom corner cozy?
Comments (12)Estate sales, thrift stores and Etsy are good places for original art. Maybe FB Marketplace. If you're decorating your whole home, you may get addicted to estate sales! I have found some really amazing pieces, plus it's been fun to see parts of town that I never would have visited....See MoreBeth H. :
