living room design/color advice please!
Comments (14)If it was my room I would get the chairs in a light blue. But you have to get what suits you. I also want to buy furniture that I have sat in and know that I find comfortable. But lots of people order online. It's up to you. I would look for swivel chairs that I like and look at the fabric options. Just now I looked online and didn't find a lot besides solid neutrals which I think would be very hard to be sure would work with your sofa. Macy's is having some good sales on their Quick Ship items but they can't be returned to the store, have to be shipped back. I would look at stores in your area to really see what you are getting. blue chair at Macy's blue chair at overstock Wayfair swivel chair...See MoreLiving room furniture

Comments (138)LOL @Flo Mangan yes for sure it’s scary in that picture!! IRL I’d not just leave it on in the dark by itself like that - just to show how tall the effect is (more gravitas to balance that built in)..... when the console lamps are on, the effect is quieter and didn’t photograph. Agree, about not filling every space. It starts to feel busy. I like it calm but don’t want it to look sparse. It is a good start and not sure when or how I will do more. You know how hard it is when you move and have a million things to do and get. I don’t think they are wrong about the console not being long enough, but just tossing it out and buying something new isn’t how I roll. It’s different and I like it. If you see the right pillows (or lamps for that matter), I’d love your input. If you see my inspiration photo in the original post, it’s a light room, and I don’t want to kill that mojo. Wish I had a decent camera to show that the room isn’t dark at all....See Moreliving room furniture set up help please
Comments (4)This is a toughie. Are you open to possibly reworking your layout. I don’t think this room is conducive to tv watching and having a separate area for toys. The location is great tho. The one thing I’d consider doing here is combining the play area with the tv area and couches. And the rest of the room should be more formal. What do you think of that?...See Morejck910
