Hi Amy503. I have a Verona 36" Dual Fuel range with double oven. I LOVE it! Cooks like a dream- the center triple ring burner is incredible. The multi-function convection oven works great- everything gets cooked evenly. EuroChef- the distributor- changed over from the DeLonghi name a couple of years ago so maybe you will find reviews under that name? They have been very helpful with the few questions I have and I am really happy with the perfomance and look of the range. Good luck!

From looking on line (link below - see page 4) it appears that there is the usual requirement for non-combustible material on the wall above the range and below the hood. Countertops can be installed on both sides of the GE Monogram range, but any side wall adjoining the countertops must be at least 12" away from the range burners. I assume this is because of the intense heat that can be generated by the burners. I'm not sure exactly what you are calling a "fireplace" that you are installing this range in. Is it totally brick from floor to hood, or only from the cooktop surface up? I recommend you check with your architect, contractor, and your GE dealer (and check local codes), but my guess is that you will be fine if you plan on installing the range within a brick "fireplace"(?) that provides a suitably insulated noncombustible surface on both sides. The drawing accompanying the GE Monogram installation manual shows what appears to be a sheet-rocked wall (not brick) 12" away from the cooktop, but better safe than sorry. BTW - Re: the "fireplace" that you are installing the range within. One other thing you might want to consider is the width of the range hood above. Although we're installing a 48" GE Monogram hood above our 48" range (doing this because we got a terrific deal on the exhaust hood, and I think it will be adequate), there are many folks on the forum that recommend that your hood be at least 6 inches wider than your cooktop. Do a search on this forum and you'll find plenty of threads on the topic. You might want to figure out your hood before you lock yourself into a particular width of brick "fireplace." Thanks Michelle. My designer would like me to choose the appliances so he can proceed with the final specs on the cabinets. I heard the new Thermador ranges will be out in Jan 2019 from a salesman so that is a bit too far out. I wish there were some floor models available in the refrigeration as I do like what I have read about them thus far but again price is a bit more than I had budgeted out for the project. This is why I went with the counter-depth option for refrigeration given I can save a few thousand here and still have a decent range.

I purchased a Fulgor Milano 36 inch dual fuel Sophia range this past year when we renovated our kitchen. We have had no trouble with it. We do switch our baking pans around inside while baking as I don’t think any oven heats perfectly all around but that said, the oven cooks beautifully. It has two convection fans and many useful oven settings that all cause the oven to heat/ cook a little differently depending on what you’re using the oven for. The burners are amazing and the cooktop is a dream to clean. All the burners get super hot down to a bare simmer. The cooktop is totally nonstick with a matte finish. I can’t say enough about how easy it is to clean the cooktop. Anything literally wipes right off. The self clean oven feature works great. The pizza/multibake setting cooks amazing pizza, frozen or freshly made. The one thing I was surprised at and didn’t know to ask about while researching pro ranges was where the oven vents out. This one vents out the front right onto your thighs. I wish it vented out the top back behind the burners instead because when you’re oven is on, especially at high heat you definitely feel it. Wearing an apron really helps and now after using the oven for a while I dont notice the vent that much really even without an apron. Although I wish that were different I would still buy this oven again because for a price tag under $5400 you can’t beat what it offers. All the other pro ranges with the features the Fulgor offers are at least 2k more expensive. I did purchase the optional griddle but chose to remove it (when in use it sits on top of the burner grates, not in place of) because unlike the wolf, thermador etc the cooking surface of this range top is a bit longer front to back and a bit more narrow side to side than the others. The other brands burners/cooking surface are a bit wider and more shallow front to back in configuration. Because of this there is a little more room between the burners front to back so the griddle tends to get hot spots. The griddle also needs to be seasoned well but once you do that it’s pretty nonstick. Overall we are thrilled with how well all the features work, so much so that we call it the “Lovin” (instead of the oven) because we love it and it makes cooking a real pleasure. We also have the Fulgor 36 inch pro range hood with 1000 cfm. It’s excellent as well. Both are solidly made with real craftsmanship. Excellent fit and finish.
