accent wall paint question
Hi, with all this time on our hands, I am looking at some paint color changes. I want a softer color for these blue walls. More of a blue/green. Any opinions on the top color BM beach glass vs the bottom color SW silvermist for these tall walls as an accent color? Hope everyone is healthy and well! Thank You!

Comments (13)Paint all the area. You don't want to cut it up. You can do the brick in the same color, but satin, for a monochrome look... or contrast it by using your trim white, or black. I would also try to create symmetry by using identical furniture pieces on either side of the fireplace. The niches look too empty and yet have a lot of small items that make it somewhat busy. I might get a pair of related art prints or matching mirrors to go above the furniture pieces. The photos could be located to another area. Comments (3)I’m thinking three dark walls. This is B.M. Nocturnal Gray, but just a guess to colors in the paper. You do need some blue undertone to work with what I call the “mean” west light. My go to for west light is Patriotic White, so I moved down the strip to find something darker. This color would show great with the white crib, and you could add a white rug on the floor, and a white lamp on the dresser....See Moreeverdebz
4 years agoIs there any question for us about what you might place in upper niches? Have time so I'm posting a quick idea - even a white frame to not draw so much attention up there. A soft abstract might be good...
