I was using a couple of different fertilizers, switching every once in a while... but I found that most of my bulbs respond best to MiracleGro liquid, so I've stuck with that. I do add a few drops of Superthrive every once in a while, and a tad bit of micronutrients in granule/powder form. It seems that some bulbs are just genetically better growers than others... I treat all the regular hybrids the same, and some varieties have gained a lot of size, while others are just sitting here. I highly doubt all of my bulbs will bloom next cycle, but if I get them all outdoors next summer, they should all respond well. If I end up buying a few bargain priced common varieties, it'll be just to have those lovely blooms over winter! Even if I force a dormancy on most of mine, I doubt they'd reward me with the best in flowering. I just don't think they've had enough light this past spring and summer. I'll bet yours will be beautiful! Can't wait to see photos!

Was able to get a hold of zline. Issue is production of the chimney. They have none and I was told it would be a long time and to order something else. Was also told the 24" might be okay, but with a 28" range, it really should be bigger. Modernair had great technical support and got back to me right away, with a quote of about $4600 to make something similar to the $1400 zline.

We were going to order Omega cabinets in June. Switched to Canyon Creek as Omega was going to be 14 weeks and Canyon Creek said 30 business days. That eeked up to 45 business days in early August but we were really deep into the process then and Omega was saying 5-6 months. So, we went ahead with our Canyon Creek order. 12 days later no acknowledgement of receipt. Last week, the dealer said they updated their info and it will be 70 business days from the date our order was submitted (not clean order). I got impatient today and called Canyon Creek today and they said we were getting to the to of the list, but not quite there. The dealer is expecting to make corrections, so we will have to add time to get a clean order. AND I was told today, the 70 days is now from acknowledgement of the clean order. So, we are looking at January at this point it seems, if it's not extended a 4th time.

The largest retailers reflect the major market forces, are the ones to look at, are the major buyers of consumer goods and goods from abroad. Three of the biggest, Walmart, Amazon, and Costco, have all had sales increases during the pandemic period. None have closed, none have stopped ordering from suppliers. Inventory reordering at most retailers, including grocery chains, is autoMATED.. New orders are based on stock on hand and projected sales to determine needs. Nothing new about that, in the pre-automated supply chain days, orders were done with pencil and paper and mental guesswork. For large supply contracts, customers typically give future quarterly or longer buying projections for orders and can only vary actual orders by an agreed percentage. In many sectors, shipping delays more significantly affect the sellers (other than the buyers being short of goods to sell) because oftentimes payment for purchases isn't due until delivery. So it's often the foreign suppliers who are bearing the financial burden of the undelivered products. They've bought their raw materials, paid for production, but have to wait to be paid. It is true that a variety of compounding problems have caused supply delays, and it's not just delays of fridges, toaster ovens and flip flops. I've tried in this thread to present balanced and factual views. The US supply system has proven to be inflexible, inadequate, and with bottlenecks of unexpected kinds in unexpected places. Paradoxically, despite all the delays and waiting ships, port cargo processing stats are up considerably from past years.
