Furniture arrangement in a 15'8" x 25'10" Living and Dining room
Comments (3)The room is 15’8” wide and you need to be able to pull back dining chairs about 3’ all round for unobstructed mobility. So, If you subtract 6’ from 15’8” you are left with 9’8”….long way around saying “yes” a 9’ table would fit. To what are the sliders going? Yard, deck? And what is that 3056 space on the dining wall? In rooms short of wall space, I think two sliders may be a bad choice. Depending on what your answer is to the 3056 space, I would put the slider there; and two windows where you have the sliders. But that is just my opinion and I never put the t v in the living room. Back to your furniture arrangement and your plan, would this work? Dining area has one slider; sofa area has the other slider with sofa back to dining area, facing the wall on which you want the t v. Aslo consider a curved sofa, instead of the typical three seater. This sofa is from Wayfair. I think the ottomans come with it. You could use the ottomans with the corner chairs you want. Lots of seating for a smaller area….. sorry…my mistake the ottomans are not included…why do they show them, then, in the photo? Grrrrrrr...See MoreDecorating/arrangement formal living/dining room
Comments (30)yes drapes will fo on the other window. I only had this one pair because we have new furniture and when we had this set we only had one windows. in regards to the "changing table" this is what it looks like. it used to be a dresser lol. it will NOT stay there. I just dont know what to do with it right now although I could move it upstairs and let my son just use it (the loft is going to be our playroom I hate having toys downstairs) but obviously I dont know what to do with this space. I like the edit with 2 pictures high vs the 3. my FIL is an artist so he will do the painting that goes on the purple wall. this is the color scheme I gave him to play with. he is thinking a gallery wrapped canvas (so it doesnt need a frame) I'm just trying to decide size. should I keep the canvas the length of the buffet table?...See MoreHelp with Arranging/Decorating Open yet small living and dining room
Comments (5)Where and how do you access the sofas? It looks like there is barely any room to walk around them to go sit down. And from where do you enter? Is that big round thing on the right supposed to be a hanging lamp from ceiling? If so, that space needs to be utilized. Or is it a round table?? Are those windows next to it? And the dark square shape in front of kitchen counter - is it a chair or... what? First, since your kitchen counter and wall to the patio are both angled, could you angle your loveseat and place it where the TV is now? Then, we'll just have to help you figure out where to put TV and big sofa, haha. You do have a bit too much furniture for this space, if the dimensions are scaled correctly. Can you sell the sofa and get a smaller one? These pieces look gigantic in that space. Photos of room would be helpful. I can see this image big and fine on my laptop, but room pics would help....See MoreFinnish apartment! How do I arrange my furniture?
Comments (2)In addition to the bed you need a wardrobe for hanging clothes. Some have drawers and shelves inside, but others have more room to hang longer coats, dresses, etc. Take a look at these IKEA wardrobes. If most of your clothes can be folded you might also prefer a chest of drawers. Just make sure any furniture you buy will fit in the space available. It can be helpful to take a tape measure with you when shopping. If you wish to use the other side of the bedroom as a social area, consider using a chest of drawers or other furniture as a room divider. Set a TV on top of the furniture and a couch opposite that. There's just not a lot of room, so look for furniture with narrow arms. European furniture tends to be smaller because living space is smaller. Also consider having another social space in the room with the kitchen. It can be around the kitchen table, but there might also be space for a couple of comfortable chairs and a side table....See MoreAllison Ivy
