What direction should pine wood flooring go?

Hi, I am doing pine floors in the living/dining and two bedrooms of my apartment.

We are doing the super long planks that run the length of the room.

Some people told me that the planks should run front to back when you enter the door of the room, so that you see the line from walking in to the end.

attached is the plan my contractor made. As you see, the last bedroom, the planks run differently than the rest of the house because of where the door to the room is.

what is best to do?

(by the way the front two rooms, living/dining are open to each other, they are like one room with an opening between them)
