Fruit Tree Issues- Advice?

My trees are about 7 years old. These 2 I am having issues with.

A Plum and a Cherry have what appears to be gummosis with deep scarring.

1. Plum had a bear in the tree which broke one of the two feeder branches. It had to be completely removed, leaving the tree severely lopsided to one side I am attempting to train the new growth towards the empty side, but it also has the gummosis on the only good feeder branch. Not sure if it's worth saving with the gummosis and the lopsided issues.

The Cherry is healthy with no other issues other than the gummosis about 18" from the ground.

How should I deal with the gummosis, and is the plum a lost cause like I am thinking?
