Show and Tell March 5
I don't want to hijack the daily "I'll show..." but I was thinking I would love to see your favorite spot/room in where you live. Might be inside or outside your home. Might be the spot guests admire most--or you love/are the most proud of. My home is pretty basic but my gardens seem to attract attention. They were fun to create and now they are just satisfying to watch return year after year.

6 years agoI was thinking of this last night. I remember a number of years ago, we had threads where it showed our kitchen, living area etc. I love kitchens! LOL
Hubby and I love(d) our apartment. It's cosy and bright. He always said it was comfy and homey. You'll see Bud on the little table (that's no longer there).

Comments (7)Ronm80, the picture I posted is from about 1960. I'm in the striped blue pants and my younger sister is next to me in the red striped pants. My dad is standing behind me, loved those hats men wore in those days, so jaunty. My older brother is next to dad, then mom folding a table cloth, then my two oldest sisters on the right. That's my oldest brother on the left with the fishing pole. Two of my older sisters aren't in the picture but were nearby. The tent was an old army tent my dad had. I remember it well, as we'd play in it at home. We'd all pile in my Dad's 1958 Chevy (or was it a Ford?) and drive to the beach as often as we could. Comments (47)March,2011 will soon be history. It was a windy,snowy unsettled month in this area...quilting weather. However, I got very little sewing done. I did finish the Pineapple Blossom but most of it had been done earlier. I used 2 panels for baby quilts and have them sandwiched but that's it for them. I cut up another panel and made blocks and added sashings for a baby quilt and sandwiched the top, but no quilting done yet. I have enjoyed the posts here and looking at all the wonderful quilts. If there is a project you are doing in March,please post about it. It doesn't have to be finished and pics aren't necessary. I hope April is 'sewing-productive' for all of us. I may be at the garden a lot....can't wait for the snow to disappear. I also need to stock up on whites/neutrals/blenders, and when I go to quilt shops, I will be on the lookout for those. Hibiscus lives. :) With a few annuals in front of it. Just a front corner of my garage.
(can't wait for late Spring to see it starting to peek up from the ground).

6 years agolast modified: 6 years agoPergola in back yard in Los Angeles. We have replaced the metal table and chairs with teak, but the pergola looks the same.
Patio in Cathedral City, where I spend a lot of time when I am there.
We heat the pool to 87° in the winter so that we can use it all year, and the spa to 101° when we want to use that.

My barn. Twelve 12 x 12 box stalls, feed room, tack room, office with washer and dryer hookups and bathroom, vet area with stocks, hot and cold water, and wash area for horses. Eight stalls have Dutch doors that open onto a large paddock. Two half acre paddocks near by.

This area is in the near part of our backyard. First picture with the chairs is looking up toward the side of the house. Second picture is me sitting on the edge of this space, looking out toward the back -- it's a great yard to share with dogs!

Only 3 of the horses use the barn on a regular basis...Snoop, Emery and Primo, the new horse. Here is Primo, outside the stall. One of his "before" pics. He is skinny and beat up from the kill pen.

Edited to add a pic that shows an alternate to the stained glass robin. DH doesn't always get the seasonal change timely. Doesn't really matter as we see robins here year round.
