I'll Show You Mine, If You'll Show Me Yours, Wednesday March 5
Comments (20)Wanda,i don't think i have ever seen so many cardinals in one place in my entire life. What beautiful pictures you have. You should send that one and others into Birds and Blooms magazine.I don't want your snow but i'd love to have your birds. That's a lot of finches also, and how do you clean that finch feeder.Mine is half that size and is a bear to clean as it doesn't come apart and the big bottle brush barely reaches the bottom of it. To everyone else your pictures are great as well.I love this post and come everyday to see what pictures you have posted. TFS Kathi...See MoreI'll show you mine if you'll show yours. Sunday March 11
Comments (7)Ronm80, the picture I posted is from about 1960. I'm in the striped blue pants and my younger sister is next to me in the red striped pants. My dad is standing behind me, loved those hats men wore in those days, so jaunty. My older brother is next to dad, then mom folding a table cloth, then my two oldest sisters on the right. That's my oldest brother on the left with the fishing pole. Two of my older sisters aren't in the picture but were nearby. The tent was an old army tent my dad had. I remember it well, as we'd play in it at home. We'd all pile in my Dad's 1958 Chevy (or was it a Ford?) and drive to the beach as often as we could. I remember that old coffee pot on the far right side of the picture. Good old days. :)...See MoreMarch,2011 Show and/or Tell
Comments (47)March,2011 will soon be history. It was a windy, snowy unsettled month in this area...quilting weather. However, I got very little sewing done. I did finish the Pineapple Blossom but most of it had been done earlier. I used 2 panels for baby quilts and have them sandwiched but that's it for them. I cut up another panel and made blocks and added sashings for a baby quilt and sandwiched the top, but no quilting done yet. I have enjoyed the posts here and looking at all the wonderful quilts. If there is a project you are doing in March, please post about it. It doesn't have to be finished and pics aren't necessary. I hope April is 'sewing-productive' for all of us. I may be at the garden a lot....can't wait for the snow to disappear. I also need to stock up on whites/neutrals/blenders, and when I go to quilt shops, I will be on the lookout for those. Have a 'quilty' day. ~Geraldine...See MoreI'll Show You Mine, If You'll Show Me Yours, Tuesday March 4
Comments (18)LOL Alisande. Thanks for the link Casey. So it looks like the stork wasn't really planning on making a meal of Donald, just offering some quick transit. :-) What a fascinating bird! ... and ugly. I remember when I first saw it, I thought it was just a joke statue or something ... then it moved. Whoa. I was quite frustrated because I could not get a good photo of it. Not usually a problem I experience but each picture I took of it, turned out overexposed looking even with some Photoshop help. Maybe I'll go back this summer with my new camera and try to get some better shots. Jodi-...See More- 6 years ago
