Need help choosing kitchen cabinet color
Comments (7)Have you seen the "painted stone' color from American Woodmark - Waypoint Living Spaces? Yes it is gray and yes it could be a little too much, but it certainly would be outstanding !!! I have seen many kitchens combining the warm and the colder tones and they loose all effect... add the color in the backsplash with the subway tiles!!! Here the beautiful doors for your beautiful granite click doors Waypoint...See MoreKitchen Cabinets Refacing—Need help choosing a color!
Comments (7)I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who responded, especially live_wire_oak and millworkman. I took both of your advice. I hired a color consultant, per Live_Wire_Oak suggested. The consultant came up with colors for throughout the house, including a lovely creamy white for the majority of the house. Once the walls were painted, we realized that the backsplash needed to change (as Millworkman suggested). Chose a beautiful blue glass subway tile which brought out the blue in the granite and the lighting. We are so pleased with the way the kitchen turned out. Hiring a color consultant was the best $$ we have spent on our house. Thanks everyone!...See MoreNeed help choosing a contrast cabinet color. Please advise.

Comments (12)I would keep the cabinets, and change out your light bulbs, to daylight type led, to brighten it up. If you really need to paint something, then, maybe paint the island. Also, yes, paint is cheaper than new countertops, but, if the paint job isnt done correctly, new cabinets will be in your future, since they chip and peel, if not done properly. It is a huge job to paint cabinets, and it takes a quite a while to get them all done, when you have as many as you have. I am assuming by this, that you are wanting to paint them yourself. If you decide to paint them, please check out the proper way to paint cabinets, and buy paint that is especially for cabinets. Proper prep, is very important....See MoreOne Devoted Dame
