'Feature' window for tiny bathroom-suggestions?
Comments (3)Thanks for the replies. Palimpsest, sounds like you found some beautiful windows but at those prices plus the cost of opening the wall and installing the window I can see why you might have decided against that expense. Wow. I'm sure glad that it will be DH doing the work as I couldn't afford to hire him even if the window comes in at your lowest price. I like the idea of an octagon just for the visual interest. Steve, the window you describe sounds like exactly what my practical DH is looking for. I'll check out the Integrity web site. I love the idea of no water problems. In a 50 year old house there are currently a few moisture issues around the tub and the need to be free of those is the thing that has finally bumped the bathroom to the top of the "must do" list. The price seems right on that window too. I've also been looking on Craigslist for new resale windows. There seems to be quite a few available that were purchased for projects and then not needed. But these are mostly the usual shapes and sizes as far as I can tell....See MoreCoffee table , side table and / or ottoman suggestions for living room
Comments (11)I really Ike the colors and patterns that you have in the space. It is not so easy to combine patterns the way you have done. You seem to have a natural flair for this. I had also thought of a solid ottoman in an orange, as being an interesting possibility. i like the overstock piece, also. I was thinking, with your white sofa + red pieces, a color like this might also work. https://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Handy-Living-Duncan-Parisian-Tan-Gray-Velvet-Large-Tufted-Cube-Ottoman/8119649/product.html this one is out of stock right now, but just to show the idea/option. Although I might lean towards an untufted piece, since all of your furniture has some tufting detail....See MoreAny midrange$ semi cust kitchen cabinet manufacturers you can suggest?
Comments (3)if you can deal w stained cabinets as opposed to painted try shiloh durasupreme maybe merillat. not sure you can go w frameelss full overlay and remain mid priced so much, but maybe. but for partial reveal framed with a basic traditional raised door style you should be able to handle these lines pricing and I think the construction would be good to better. Your desire for painted is going to drive pricing up and never do cheaper painted cabinets. Lots of drawers which should be chosen, will spike it up. You have to pick and choose your priorities. If painted is a must I'd go at least into Shiloh or durasupreme.....showplace is another. You say no accesories or fancy extras but when the specs are done there are requirements to make it fit together . find a good designer /showroom as they will know how to work w your budget once you provide it....in their cabinet offerings they have a few lines, and steer you properly. When people need to be strict w budget , whatever reason....I think is the time to employ a designer...and sometimes custom will surprise you as custom can offer basic and end up not really high priced ......and give you a special small detail to make you happier than you may have thought....See Moreguest romm/girl room nightstand dresser and rug suggestion
Comments (7)My advice is to skip that set in a minute, it is not complementary to headboard‘s color or style. Start with the furniture/decor and then consider bedding that would suit and also appeal to any age or gender. I’d also check out consignment shops/thrift stores for some great furniture pieces. Restful and calm should be the aim. If you search Pinterest for modern tropical rooms, you’ll see all kinds of ideas for furniture, rugs, lighting, art and finally bedding. The easiest is a white duvet or coverlette and layer with colorful cushions....See MorePatricia Colwell Consulting
