tuesday - Thank you for responding. I did paint over my BM Fernwood Green that I had in the foyer going into the dining room with BM Flowering Herbs. I really like it. So far it looks like a neutral. Now I'm not sure whether to paint over the fernwood green in the kitchen and my brookside moss dining room walls. Is the Homestead Resort Sunwash a BM color? I think I may paint over the brookside moss just because some furniture I'm going to put in there won't really work with it. I really wish I could use a rust/dark orange color but that won't work with my furniture either. Red or gold/yellow would work. I wish I could find a soft gold/yellow that I like. I've checked out Believable Buff. Nice color but I'm not sure about how it will work with my oak floors...even though I will have white trim. I wonder if SW Blonde would work. It has to work with the flowering herbs because that's one wall in the dining room. These are some other colors that were mentioned to me...Also BM Straw. I don't have any pics of it yet but it's a really nice soft buttery yellow that I used on the walls of a 9'X 8' room w/ Filtered Sunlight trim and Vanilla Ice Cream built in's. Very nice! We have Richmond Gray, aka Baby Turtle, in our main living area, with an adjacent wall painted 1/2 strength Pleasant Valley, and an area adjacent to that painted Brandon Beige. We love the sequence. The RG is a fascinating color, works beautifully with woods and metals, the Pleasant Valley is so cheery without being screamy, and the Brandon Beige is chameleon-like.

“Farmhouse kitchen” whether used with the word “modern” in front of it or not, has become grating. Like nails on a chalkboar at this point. People don’t seem to have a clue what it means but saw something on HGTV and think they can duplicate it so that their suburban home or high-rise condo will evoke a farmhouse. It ends up looking a mish mosh, or nondescript or nothing like a farmhouse. It reminds me of the “Industrial look” very popular a few years ago, now gone, where people wanted to have their homes seem like they lived in a loft or rehabbed warehouse. “Farmhouse” may have the same life span. Funny thing is is that I have a friend who lives on an actual farm with cows and horses and corn fields. She just redid her kitchen. Got granite counters, a big hood, did not panel appliances but left them as stainless steel. Canned lighting, no pendants. No shiplap or bead board anywhere, and blessedly no Word Art. An actual farmer, so everything she chose was practical and could stand up to wear. She did get a farmhouse apron-front sink though. But she said that choice was because apron front sinks are easier on your back.

That sounds like a small load to me. A large load is usually considered 12lbs, and this Tide link says 11 lbs and the washer 3/4s full. A medium load is 6 lbs and a washer half full. The current bottle of Tide Original I have says to use line 1 for medium loads, and when I measure that comes out to 2 tablespoons so for your small load I'd use 1 to 1.5 tablespoons, depending on soil level. If you do actually want to measure the detergent rather than eyeballing it, I find it easier to do it by weight.
