We have the Kenmore Pro ones (like these) which I think are made by Frigidaire. (?) We've only had them installed for 2 months, but before that they sat for 2 years in our dirty garage -- long story -- so we were a little worried about how they would work after sitting for all that time but bottom line, no problems, and we're thrilled with them. For the price they can't be beat. There are two slightly odd things about them however. One is that there's no meat drawer, which I was used to in our other fridge and I do miss that. There are two HUGE drawers which I love having, but we fill one with fruits and the other with veggies, so then I just have meat on one the shelf above the drawers, which is okay but I would rather have a drawer for it. The second odd thing is that the shelf structure above the drawers are actually attached to the drawers themselves and they don't seem to come off for cleaning. The glass itself lifts out, but the surrounding shelf frame doesn't detach from the drawer (at least that we could figure out!) which makes it awkward for cleaning as you can't just turn it upside down into your sink and dump out fallen particles. Those are very minor inconveniences for the space and convenience (especially the freezer space which is incredible), and overall I love these appliances and I would get them again in a heartbeat.

deirdref: Thanks for the link - I've been there already (that's how I found out the Wave touch has 3 baskets and the IQ has 2 freezer baskets). I guess I didn't pay attention to the other details like the "cool zone" and "perfect temp drawer" because I'm so focused on the freezer compartment. I'm going to have to speak to my contact at Electrolux (she said I can call her anytime) again and double check on the configuration of both freezers. If the specs say they have the same volume, I wonder if she was wrong when she told me the wave touch was configured differently in the freezer to give it more room than the IQ model. I'd love to see them both side by side. The rebate we got was not with Sears - it was through Electrolux so anyone could apply for it no matter where they buy their appliances as long as it is within the time period that Electrolux stated on the rebate form. Didn't the store you bought it at tell you? With the first offer, you had to buy before June 12th and the second rebate offer was between June 13th or 15th until the 30th. I qualified for the second and just mailed in my form to Electrolux (I had until August 10th to mail it but the purchase date had to be between the dates I mentioned). I also got a better price than what Sears was offering becuase I went to other several stores and Sears did a price match. When did you purchase your appliances and how many did you buy?

I'm in southwestern CT, and I don't think you want to drive all the way down here. Plus, my Icon twins are 3 years old at this point. When I was looking, these had just come out. The dealer only had the side by side on the floor--they were gorgeous and I ordered them from the picture. The research I did implied it was a toss-up as to reliability, and since Elec had just started the new Icon brand, I knew buying them would be iffy. I bought the extended warranty, which I NEVER do, but I have had absolutely no problems--kind of like taking an umbrella to guarantee it doesn't rain LOL. I suggest you look at ANY Icon refrigerator on the showroom floor to get an idea of the quality of the brand. If you like what you see, then go for it. Hedge your bets by getting the extended warranty also. I know some people on this site prefer two fridges or a freezer in the basement, but I found I forgot about a lot of things in the garage or basement, resulting in spoilage or duplicate purchases. Hi, I have experience with the Electrolux Icon 36". We've had it for 3 years and I love it. I would definitely get it again. And I agree...I like this side by side much better than either our old bottom-mount freezer or older top-mount. The space is well configured in the Electrolux and we've had not problems with it. I realize this isn't exactly what you're looking for but thought it might be helpful to have feedback on the brand.
