Warning: Not for the Faint of Heart (jk)
Comments (24)Brad: It's interesting that you have first hand experience and know exactly what your instincts led you to grab. Hopefully your family has used up all their bad luck and you never have to rescue any Hoyas in future. Quinn: I hear the way you're thinking. My first impulse was to grab one of the flats I keep my smaller Hoyas grouped on. Mike: Yes, I am definitely a Wes Anderson fan. I loved your reference. I bet we're all a little more prepared should such a disaster occur just having thought so much about this topic now. Feel free to put on a jogging suit and take pictures of yourself with 20 hoyas in each duffle bag, though! PG: I NEVER have any problem with thread hijacking (that would be pretty hypocritical of me!). I just like it when everyone's posting. Love the Nissei Africans. David: You know you're totally dogging the spirit of my question with that lame "my gh can't burn down" answer. And you're the one I was imagining trying to drag your compacta out of a burning building when I gave everyone superpowers, too! Matt: That sounds like one awesome aloe vera! I'm so jealous. What kind is it? I am in the market for an arborescens at the moment, I just have to figure out where I'm going to put it before I buy it....See Morewhat size and kind vent fan should we buy?
Comments (2)With a large master bath that has a steam shower and jetted whirlpool, we definitely wanted a quiet fan that would ventilate the area! One set of rules for sizing baths of 100 ft^2 or larger is 50 CFM per each toilet, shower and tub (100 CFM for a jetted whirlpool tub). Our bath needed a 200 CFM fan. Seems that nobody makes fans this large with built-in lights. No problem, really, this was a master bath and we were planning on extra lighting anyhow. We found Air King and bought their AK200LS, a 200+ CFM model. It's quiet (2.0 sones) for the airflow it provides. We also bought one of Air Kings' electronic timer switches; as we leave the bath, we just flip the switch down and the fan runs an extra 20 minutes and shuts off. Their current AKEDT2 timer is the closest to this now. Hope this helps. Here is a link that might be useful: Air King Vent Fans...See MoreOur 36 Casa Vieja Fan is Installed! But - should we move it?
Comments (9)fori, advanced, KristinF2012, bmorepanic, jalsy6, lascatx, and desertsteph - You are all The Best!! Thank you, thank you, Thank You for talking some sense into me! I will stop obsessing about the fan and will leave it right where it is. (Boy is DH going to be relieved!) If it's still bothering me months from now, I'll revisit it. But for now, I will put it out of my mind. And thank you so much for your very sweet compliments too! :) bmorepanic - Your "touched by the OCD fairy" comment was too funny! What a nice way of putting it! Lol! I'm no stranger to her magic either (obviously!) desertsteph - Yes, those CFL bulbs Must go. DH added it to his ever-growing to-do list. Hmmmm - I'm not sure if it's compatible with a remote, but that's an interesting thought! lascatx - Painting the pulls! Brilliant! You have so many good ideas. Thank you! :) Thank you all, again! :)...See MoreHung the fan. I think we're done!
Comments (7)To DLM2000 - it has a chaise on one end and a "cuddler" on the other. Can't remember the manufacturer. We got it at Robb and Stuckey in Fort Myers, FL. It is fairly comfortable, however not really good for multiple people conversation....See Moredaisychain Zn3b
