They tried to implant a compass into a man because men don't ask for directions. The compass was rejected, just like the directions were.

I agree, heart transplant, done by a Dr. Barnard, I don't remember his first name. I think he was from South Africa, not positive on that. Dr. DeBakey was a very well known heart surgeon, known, I think, for innovative procedures and equipment.

Heart transplant was the first thing that came to mind for me, too! For the sake of being different, I will guess it was the first breast implants.

I'm a man, and I ask for directions all the time.

Half the time the people I ask are unable to help. When I get directions from women, they usually give me landmarks rather than street names, and I do not navigate that way. They also often confuse east with west (at least in Los Angeles). I always keep maps with me when I travel, but I still like to ask locals for directions. Women in Italy gave me the best directions.
