Do you think my refrigerator well open on this location?

I assum doing a kitchen remodel and this is how my kitchen will look like, I have the fridge aft the corner next to wall that is 29 inches long, I am getting a counter depth refrigerator and I dont think I will be able to open my refrigerator doors on the location it is right now, my pantry is next to it. Should I consider switching the pantry and the refrigerator? Our do you think a 29 inch wall next to a refrigerator woukd not cause a issue?. Thank you! I am going crazy over this...

I need to see the layout and also the size of the fridge. But normally you need a spacer between the wall and the fridge the easiest is to make the opening in that spot wider so the fridge door is able to open all the way.

Lots of good thoughts here! Eks6426, you have a really good point on the Z pattern. That's actually the approach I took with the glass cabinet, alternating white dishware with glasses: Graphics gal, good job!!! It looks awesome actually!!! I can see where you're going with it. Damn, you're good at Photoshop. I guess hence the title, Graphics Gal. I see what you're all saying about putting the glass jars on the shelves. They fit so it works!! I think I'd put goodies that we don't eat a lot. Actually, DH has pointed out (along with others here) that the glass jars are too small to sit on the counter. I protested that I actually want them to have goodies that people can snack on, and if they were bigger then the food would go stale. But, the white things we have in there now (mints, yogurt covered peanuts, and marshmallows) are technically not being eaten right now...so maybe they can go up. Lascatx - I actually use the white bowls (both the small and medium ones) frequently, hence them being on the middle row. Everything else is display. The sugar and creamer is used whenever there's company. I know what you mean about the bottom row not working... I'll play some more with it. Thanks for all the great tips!!! You all have a good eye for this.

Do you think this soup will freeze well?

We freeze potato leek soup that's made with cream. When we're ready to use it I take it out of the freezer and put it in the refrigerator for a day or two. Then I slowly, very slowly defrost it in the microwave using low power. Then just before dinner I turn up the power and heat it to serving temperature. It does look a little odd but I just use my immersion blender to mix it up again. Sometimes I add a little bit of cream while blending it.

I have a corner sink and will be placing it in the same location in the remodel. I used an excellent KD and he agreed that was the best place to keep it. I only have 2 walls (L shape), sink is under the windows that are in the corner. Rest of kitchen has peninsula and an island. Sink does not feel boxed in, but I have windows above it and my kitchen is larger.

Just wanted to chime in ... I recently sent back 2 (TWO!) Samsung fridges for excessive fan noise. You know that trick where you put playing cards in bicycle spokes? That's what they sounded like. It was awful, I could hear it anywhere on the first floor. The delivery guy told me, "all fridges sound like that" but since my basement fridge is a Samsung I knew that wasn't true. I wound up with an LG with bells and whistles I did not want (like ice and water thru the door). And it is QUIET. I wondered about the trade off I was making to sacrifice fresh food space for a possibly quieter fridge and it IS worth it. I don't know if manufacturers are using marginal components (louder than normal fans) in the simpler, cheaper models. I would have gladly bought a Bosch or Liebherr if it would have fit a standard depth, 36" cabinet but no luck there. My advice is to go to an appliance store (not Lowes or HD) that is QUIET and listen to them midday. Whenever the store is least busy is when you want to go, have them turn on each unit that is on display mode (so the compressor and fan starts working hard) and really listen to it. That's what we did and it worked, the KA and Samsung were LOUD. GE and LG were quiet, but GE was backordered by 3 weeks. So LG is what we got.

You don't need to pay the $$$ for a counter depth fridge, but no matter the depth of the fridge, it has to be placed so that the doors can open greater than 90 degrees if you expect to be able to open a drawer inside the fridge.

This is the plan, I just decided to make the switch of pantry and fridge, I love the look of a counter depth refrigerator and do not want a regular refrigerator, the installers also told me that the door on the right would not open and he said he sees that a lot, so I just decided to make the switch.

In that configuration, many fridges would not open enough to remove drawers. However, it depends on the specific make and model of YOUR fridge. Look on the manufacturer's website for the specifications (usually a PDF). For example, for my previous Samsung side-by-side fridge, it was 16". For my current Bosch counter-depth French door fridge, it's 11".

Cut the wall back next to the fridge. It's what my GC did on my kitchen plan. You see a bit more of the fridge side - but I'd rather see a bit more exposed and never have to worry about a door swing issue.

Unless it is a built-in, the doors will need to sit proud of the cabinets in order to swing fully. Then, as stated, it will depend on the manufacturer as to how far you need to swing in order to get the drawers out, and whether the door hinges are placed so that the doors pivot within the measurements of the fridge carcass.

Depends on the fridge. They all have different space requirements because their handles are different sizes etc. It looks like you have 2.5” filler to the left of the fridge. If that’s the case then a kitchenaid counterdepth would work in your kitchen. You could still open the fridge properly and be able to pull the drawers out.
