Two baby photos from my father's 1919 baby book. He was a twin, born ten minutes after his big brother. He was 6 pounds, 12 ounces and his brother was a half pound heavier. Interestingly, "Junior" (baby #1) grew up to be a big barrel chested man, but only 6'1" tall. My father (baby #2) was always a small baby and grew up to be 6'5" tall, but slender. My father is on the left in the top photo, and on the right in the bottom photo.

I'm amazed how different I feel about flowers I see online, then see in person. I grow this because it's a host plant (fennel, bronze) for butterflies, but worried I'd find the blooms too garish in a way that would conflict with the foliage color. I'm not only ok with it, but in love with it! Almost the opposite of campanula's thread (on perennials) on being less enamoured with plants once they grow in your yard, when compared to the image sold online. ;)

cleaning out the attic, my sister came across my son's little leisure suit he wore for easter when he was 5, that would have been 45 years ago. she sent it to me to see if it would fit my grandson and it was perfect! gabriel thought it was pretty cool he could wear his daddy's clothes. 😂
