Actually, I can't really say, I toured it... as I stayed only very short, and did not look around a lot... that place just knocked me off my feet.
6 years agolast modified: 6 years agoBunker at a Polish airport that was used during WWII. It's now used by the airport for storage of large equipment.
Beautiful Torun, Poland was was spared from being bombed during the war, which allowed the architecture in the old part of town to be fully preserved.
6 years agoMy closet connection to the Holocaust is knowing my former boss's parents who were a part of this horror. Both Polish Jews, his mom was in a death camp and liberated by the Americans. His dad was able to escape and get away by laying on the top of a moving train. They both have passed now, but I truly hope this horror will never be forgotten. Peace and prayers for all who suffered.
